Dr. Mayeux, Ph.D. (she/her) is a licensed Clinical Psychologist for the state of Louisiana (no. 1458) and native of Baton Rouge.  She is devoted to providing affirming services in her home community, with regards to one’s race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, physical/intellectual challenges, age, and/or socioeconomical status.

As a graduate of LSU, Dr. Mayeux began her educational career with a bachelor’s of Psychology in 2005.  She went on to obtain her Master’s in Psychology in 2010, and then her Doctorate of Clinical Psychology in 2014 at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas.  While in graduate school, Dr. Mayeux gained extensive training in treating trauma in high risk populations and with both children and adults. Dr. Mayeux also obtained specialized training in LGBTQ+ Health from the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois during her clinical internship, as well as during her Post-Doctoral Fellowship in LGBTQ+ Health serving Veterans at the Milwaukee VA Hospital. Dr. Mayeux also has experience working with Veterans in the PTSD Clinic while at the Baton Rouge area VA Outpatient Clinic.

Dr. Mayeux is dedicated to helping survivors of trauma and folks in the LGBTQ+ community live their best lives by offering trauma-informed and affirming care.  Dr. Mayeux also provides services for a wide variety of concerns, ranging from life struggles to clinical disorders such as Depression and Anxiety, to name a few.  Learn more here.  She utilizes an integrative approach to therapy; including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Mindfulness, Prolonged Exposure, Cognitive Processing, and Constructivist Therapy.
